Macedonia consumed around 2,000 metric tons of olive oil in 2018, a slight increase from the same figure in 2017. The country ranked 53rd globally in terms of consumption, with Hungary coming in ahead at the same figure. Spain, the US and Greece followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, Macedonia produced 1,530 metric tons of olive oil in 2014, the same figure as in 2013.
