Romania consumed 5,000 metric tons of olive oil in 2018, up from 4,000 the year before. The country ranked 38th worldwide, just behind Kuwait which consumed 5,000 metric tons. Spain, the US and Greece took the top three spots in the ranking with 2, 3 and 4 thousand metric tons respectively.
