Slovene production of olive oil is set to reach almost 1,000 metric tons by 2026. Since 1997, the amount of supply has risen by 18% every year. In 2021, the country ranked 27th in the world, with Afghanistan coming in 26th and Greece, Italy, and Tunisia taking the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots. Slovene consumption of olive oil was at 2,000 metric tons in 2018, up from 2,000 metric tons in 2017. The country placed 53rd in the world, with Iraq ahead at 2,000 metric tons. Spain, the United States, and Greece were 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
