Syria's olive oil production is forecast to decrease 1.3% annually over the next five years, reaching 113,230 metric tons in 2026. Since 1966, the country's olive oil supply has grown 1% each year. In 2021, Syria ranked seventh in the world, behind Portugal, Greece, Italy and Tunisia. Portugal was the top producer at 122,520 metric tons, followed by Greece, Italy and Tunisia.
