Indonesia is set to become one of the world's top consumers of grapes by 2026. The nation is projected to consume 147,000 metric tons of the fruit over the next five years, an increase of 2.7 percent year-on-year on average. This growth is higher than the average of 3.7 percent year-on-year since 2017. In 2021, Indonesia ranked 35th in the world for grape consumption, with 125,000 metric tons. Poland took the lead that year with the same amount of consumption. The United States, India and Iran respectively came in second, third and fourth in this ranking.
