Analyzing the distribution of table grapes in Indonesia from 2013 to 2023, we observe an overall positive trend. The volume increased from 45.6 to 111.47 thousand metric tons over this period. Significant year-on-year growth rates were noted between 2016 and 2018, with the highest jump of 39.55% in 2016. Despite a drop in 2019 by 16.64%, the sector managed to recover, achieving steady increases in the following years. By 2023, the year-on-year growth slowed to 1.33%, indicating a more stable growth pattern. The CAGR for the last five years was -0.17%, depicting slight volatility.
Looking forward, forecast data from 2024 to 2028 suggests a continued but modest increase in the distribution volumes, projecting a 5-year CAGR of 1.63% and a total growth rate of 8.43%. Key future trends to monitor include potential impacts of climate change on grape production, shifts in consumer preferences towards healthier diets, and trade policies affecting the grape import market.
