Dutch consumption of bananas is set to reach nearly 300,000 metric tons by 2026. That's a growth rate of roughly 2% annually since 2017. In 2021, the Netherlands ranked 48th in the world for banana consumption with 248,000 metric tons. That's slightly less than Cuba, which consumed 248,000 metric tons that same year. China, Indonesia, and Brazil were the top three banana consumers in 2021, respectively.
