Swiss demand for sparkling wine is set to reach $243 million by 2026, growing at an average rate of 0.9% year on year. In 2021, the country stood at number nine in the world rankings with $204 million, with Italy overtaking at $219 million. The United Kingdom, Japan and Germany followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Swiss exports of sparkling wine are set to hit $24 million in 2026, a 3.4% year on year average growth rate since 1993. In 2021, Chile led the world rankings with $19 million, followed by Italy, Spain and Singapore in second, third and fourth places. Switzerland was at number sixteen with $19 million.
