Belgian exports of sparkling wine are set to decrease by 2.3% a year, on average, reaching $32 million by 2026. This is a dip from the $37 million recorded in 2021, when Belgium was ranked 12th in the world. Lithuania overtook Belgium to take 12th place, while Italy, Spain and Singapore took the top three spots. Imports of sparkling wine into Belgium are also predicted to drop, by 0.3% year on year, reaching $280 million by 2026. This is slightly lower than 2021's figure of $281 million, when Belgium was ranked 6th in the world. Singapore came ahead of Belgium, and the United Kingdom, Japan and Germany took the top three spots. Since 2004, demand for Belgian sparkling wine has grown by 2.3% year on year.
