Malaysia is set to reach import and export figures of over $17 million for sparkling wine by 2026. In 2021, imports reached $11.3 million while exports hit $3.3 million, representing growth of 2.8% and 3.2% year on year respectively. Since 1994, Malaysian demand for sparkling wine has risen 3.4% year on year, while supply is up 13%. In 2021, Malaysia ranked 40th in imports and 30th in exports. The Dominican Republic, United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Canada, Italy, Spain and Singapore were ahead of the country in imports and exports respectively.
