Exports of Romanian Champagne plummeted 41.9% in 2021 compared to the previous year, reaching 654 liters. Since 2007, the country has seen a 36.5% drop in supply. Slovakia took the lead with 654 liters, while the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy followed in second, third, and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, Romania is predicted to see an average yearly growth of 2.7% in Champagne imports, reaching a total of 251,220 liters by 2026. This marks an 8.2% rise since 2007. Hungary took the lead in 2021, with Germany, Belgium, and Italy coming in second, third, and fourth in the rankings.
