Vietnam is set to become a major player in the global mushroom industry, with production projected to reach 26,620 metric tons by 2026. This is a 1.2% increase from the 24,780 metric tons produced in 2021. Since 1966, Vietnamese mushroom production has increased by an average of 1.4% per year. In 2021, the country ranked 21st in the world, behind Belarus, which produced 24,780 metric tons. Japan, the United States and Poland came in at 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
