Irish mushroom production is set to reach 71,000 metric tons by 2026. This represents a 0.5% annual growth since 2021, when the country produced 68,710 metric tons. Since 1966, however, output has decreased by an average of 0.4% each year. In 2021, Ireland ranked 13th in the world for mushroom production, with Germany leading the way at 68,710 metric tons. Japan, the United States and Poland followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
