Brazil's processed fish imports are expected to reach 16.1 million kilograms by 2026, up from 14.7 million kilograms in 2021. This represents an average year-on-year growth rate of 1.6%. Since 1994, demand for Brazilian-processed fish has increased by 4.7% each year. Brazil was the 12th largest importer in 2021, with Japan overtaking it at 14.7 million kilograms. Italy, France and Spain were the second, third and fourth largest importers, respectively. Brazil's processed fish exports are expected to reach 1.2 million kilograms by 2026, up from 1.0 million kilograms in 2021. Again, this represents an average year-on-year growth rate of 1.6%. Since 1994, supply of Brazilian-processed fish has jumped by 17.8% each year. Brazil was the 42nd largest exporter in 2021, with Slovakia overtaking it at 1.0 million kilograms. Thailand, Slovenia and Spain were the second, third and fourth largest exporters, respectively.
