In 2021, Romania ranked 29th, with Lithuania taking the lead at 4.6 million kilograms. Italy, France and Spain took the next three spots. Meanwhile, exports of processed fish are expected to reach 1.6 million kilograms by 2026, an average increase of 3.7% year on year. Since 1996, Romania's supply has risen 10.6% year on year. In 2021, the country ranked 37th, with El Salvador leading at 1.3 million kilograms. Thailand, Slovenia and Spain followed.
