Slovene demand for oysters is expected to grow over the next 5 years. The import of oysters is projected to reach 18,730 kilograms by 2026, a 2.2% increase from 2021. This follows a year-on-year average growth rate of 3.5% since 1999. Slovene oyster exports are also expected to increase. In 2021, exports are estimated to reach 8,250 kilograms, but by 2026, this is projected to reach 10,350 kilograms, a 3.7% year-on-year average increase since 2010. This is nearly double the year-on-year growth rate seen over the past decade.
