France is the world’s 8th largest exporter of lobster, with 770,410 kilograms exported in 2021. This marks a 10% increase since 1999. The Netherlands was the biggest exporter, followed by the United States, the United Kingdom and the Philippines. Meanwhile, France’s lobster imports are set to drop from 2.8 million kilograms in 2021 to 2.4 million kilograms in 2026, a 2.4% decline. Since 1999, French demand has decreased by 5.2%. Italy topped the list of importers, followed by China, South Korea and Italy.
