Romanian lobster exports are predicted to drop by 19.9% to just under 24 thousand kilograms by 2026. Since 2017, the country's supply has declined by 25.9%. In 2021, Romania was ranked 47th, having been overtaken by South Africa, which had 80.49 kilograms. The US, UK and Philippines were the top three exporters. Meanwhile, imports are predicted to fall by 2.1% to around 5,940 kilograms by 2026. Since 2008, demand for Romanian lobsters has decreased by 7.3%. In 2021, the country was ranked 38th, with Kuwait exporting 6,730 kilograms. China, South Korea and Italy took the top three spots in terms of imports.
