Czech lobster exports plummeted 71.2% to 38,000 kilograms in 2021, down from 132,000 kilograms in 2020. Since 1998, exports have decreased 40.9%. Brunei overtook the Czech Republic for 48th place in the global ranking. The United States, the United Kingdom and the Philippines took the top three spots. Czech lobster imports are expected to drop 6.2% over the next five years, to 6,880 kilograms in 2026 from 9,970 kilograms in 2021. Since 1998, imports have decreased 7.5%. Aruba surpassed the Czech Republic in 36th place in the global ranking. China, South Korea and Italy occupied the top three slots.
