Paraguay's greenhouse gas emissions are set to reach almost 10 million metric tons by 2026, according to a new report. This would represent a 2 percent annual increase from 2021, when 8.5 million metric tons were emitted. Since 1976, Paraguay's demand for greenhouse gases has grown by an average of 4.5 percent each year. In 2021, the country was ranked 105th in the world, with Yemen ahead of it with 8.5 million metric tons. The United States, India and Russia were ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
