Morocco's greenhouse gas emissions are on the rise. By 2026, they are projected to reach 72.51 million metric tons, an increase of 1.7% a year since 1976. In 2021, the country ranked 48th, just behind Romania with 64.83 million metric tons. The top three countries in this ranking were the United States, India and Russia.
