Namibia is set to increase its greenhouse gas emissions by around 1.1% annually over the next five years. Last year, the country ranked 123rd in terms of emissions, with 3.97 million metric tons. Nicaragua was ahead with the same amount. The United States, India and Russia came in at 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Since 1996, Namibian demand has increased by an average of 0.6% per year. By 2026, the nation's emissions are expected to reach 4.26 million metric tons.
