Ghana's greenhouse gas emissions are set to rise 2.5% a year on average in the coming years. The country is projected to reach 23.36 million metric tons by 2026. Since 1976, Ghana's emissions have grown by 7% a year. In 2021, it ranked 84th in the world. Kenya overtook Ghana, with emissions of 19.97 million metric tons. The United States, India and Russia came in second, third and fourth, respectively.
