Since 1976, there has been an annual increase of 1.1%. In 2021, Lebanon ranked 73rd in greenhouse gas emissions, with Slovakia slightly ahead at 26.9 million metric tons. The United States, India, and Russia were the second, third, and fourth highest emitters respectively.
