Austrian bread sales are expected to reach €1.6 billion by 2026. This is an increase of 1.2% each year since 2021, when sales stood at €1.5 billion. Since 2000, the Austrian bread market has grown by an average of 2.4% each year. In 2021, the country ranked 8th in terms of sales. The Netherlands moved ahead with €1.5 billion, followed by Italy, the United Kingdom and France in second, third and fourth place respectively.
