Since 1998, the nation's air traffic demand has consistently fallen, with an average yearly decrease of 6.4%. In the global rankings for 2023, Kyrgyzstan stood at 119th position. Mauritania narrowly edged out Kyrgyzstan, also recording around 6,300 departures. Leading the global rankings were China, India, and Canada, securing the second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
