In the global context, Luxembourg was ranked 60th in 2023 for the number of departures, just behind Papua New Guinea which also reported around 54,000 departures. Leading the rankings, China, India, and Canada secured the second, third, and fourth positions respectively, highlighting their substantial air transport activities in comparison to Luxembourg.
