Since 1998, the demand for air transport in Belarus has increased at an average rate of 4.9% per year. In 2023, Belarus ranked 68th globally in terms of air transport departures. Costa Rica was just ahead, also with about 40,000 departures. Leading the global rankings were China, India, and Canada, occupying the second, third, and fourth places respectively.
