Kenya's bitumen imports saw a dramatic decrease in 2018, with 9,669,700 kilograms imported - a 46.9% drop from 18,204,000 kilograms in 2017. In the past 21 years, Kenyan demand for bitumen has dropped by 6.9%. The UK was the largest importer, with Egypt, Oman and Canada coming in second, third and fourth. Meanwhile, Kenya's bitumen exports saw a sharp increase in 2018, with 52,930 kilograms exported - a 4,320% rise from 1,200 kilograms the year before. In the past 21 years, Kenyan supply of bitumen has dropped by 4.9%. Argentina took the lead in exports, with Belgium, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago coming in second, third and fourth.
