Chile's demand for bitumen is projected to hit 18.6 million kilograms by 2026, up 0.6 percent from 2021. This marks a decrease of 9.7 percent since 1996. Chile came in 19th place in 2021, with New Zealand overtaking it by a small margin at 18.3 million kilograms. Egypt, Oman and Canada ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, Chile's supply of bitumen is expected to drop by 3.1 percent to 761,840 kilograms by 2026. Since 1996, there has been a 7.2 percent decrease. Chile was 34th in 2021, with Peru surpassing it at 901,910 kilograms. Belgium, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago were second, third and fourth respectively.
