Imports of bitumen in South Africa rose 9% in 2018 compared to 2017, reaching 214,520 kilograms. However, since 2005 demand for the product has decreased by nearly 50%. South Africa ranked 93rd in 2018, behind Estonia, Egypt, Oman, and Canada.
