In 2017, Namibian was number 126 in the ranking of export countries. Namibia's bitumen import is projected to decrease by 21% to 490,000 tonnes in 2026, compared to 6.2 million tonnes in 2021. The country was ranked 62nd in 2021, with Moldova overtaking it with 1.8 million tonnes. Egypt, Oman and Canada followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Namibia's bitumen exports plunged by an astonishing 99.9% to just 40 tonnes in 2017, compared to 64,000 tonnes in 2016. Since 2005, exports have dropped by 55%. In 2017, Namibia ranked 126th amongst export countries.
