Austrian bitumen imports are set to reach nearly 96 million kilograms by 2026, a 4.5% year-on-year increase from 72.4 million kilograms in 2021. Since 1999, Austrian demand has grown by 85%, with Myanmar overtaking the country in 2021 to claim 9th place in the rankings. Egypt, Oman and Canada followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively. In 2018, Austrian bitumen exports hit 6.9 thousand kilograms, up 116.7% from 3.2 thousand kilograms in 2017. Since 1999, Austrian supply has dropped by 80%. In 2018, the country came in at 70th place, with Ivory Coast taking the lead at 6.9 thousand kilograms. Belgium, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago were 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
