Bulgarian bitumen imports plummeted 70.9% in 2018 compared to the previous year, with only 1,450 kilograms imported - a far cry from the 5,000 kilograms imported in 2017. Since 2001, the country's demand has decreased by an astonishing 67%. Israel was the biggest importer of bitumen in 2018, with 1,450 kilograms, while Egypt, Oman and Canada respectively held the second, third and fourth positions.
