Malaysia's bitumen exports are expected to reach almost 50 million kilograms by 2026, up 1.5% annually from 2021's total of 45.3 million kilograms. This growth has been consistent since 1994, increasing at an average rate of 17.3% per year. In 2021, the country was in fifth place behind Trinidad and Tobago, Belgium, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago. Meanwhile, Malaysian bitumen imports are forecast to drop 14.6% year-on-year to 1.3 million kilograms by 2026. This follows a 20.8% rise annually since 1994. In 2021, the country was in 43rd place, with Nigeria at the top with 3.2 million kilograms. Egypt, Oman and Canada held the second, third and fourth spots respectively.
