Qatari demand for bitumen imports plummeted in 2018, dropping from 3.1 million kilograms in 2017 to just 20,370 kilograms - a 99.4% decrease year-on-year. Since 2005, the country has seen an 84.7% drop in bitumen imports. Sweden overtook Qatar in 2018, importing 20,370 kilograms of the material. Egypt, Oman and Canada were the next three highest importers respectively.
