Montenegrin bitumen imports in 2018 reached close to 5.2 million kilograms, a 76.8 percent increase from 2017. Since 2011, demand for bitumen in the country has risen 4.8 percent each year. In 2018, Montenegro was ranked 33rd in the world for bitumen imports, with the Maldives coming in ahead. Egypt, Oman, and Canada followed in second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
