Egyptian imports of polyurethane are expected to decrease by 16.1% year-on-year on average between 2021 and 2026, dropping from 5,025,500 kilograms in 2021 to 1,904,400 kilograms in 2026. Since 1999, the country has seen a 17.5% year-on-year decline in demand. In 2021, Egypt was the 51st largest polyurethane importer in the world, overtaken by Yemen, which imported 5,025,500 kilograms. India, Germany and Iran were the second, third and fourth biggest importers respectively. In 2018, Egyptian polyurethane exports totalled 3,020 kilograms, down 79.3% from 14,600 kilograms in 2017. Since 2009, the country's supply has dropped 48.9% year-on-year. In 2018, Egypt was the 83rd largest polyurethane exporter in the world, overtaken by Ecuador, which exported 3,020 kilograms. China, Italy and the United States were the second, third and fourth biggest exporters respectively.
