American demand for polyurethane is set to grow at an average of 2.3% annually over the next five years. The country is currently the fourth largest in the world for polyurethane demand, with 91.6 million kilograms projected for 2026. Demand has been steadily increasing since 1996, when it was 3.3% higher than the previous year. American Polyurethane exports also declined in 2015, with 172.8 million kilograms compared to 178.9 million kilograms in 2014. China, Italy, and the United States held the top three spots in the rankings.
