Ethiopia's polyurethane imports are set to increase by 2.5% year-on-year over the next five years. In 2021, the country imported just over 4.1 million kilograms of the material, putting it in 59th place globally. This was well behind Sri Lanka, which took the top spot with over 4.1 million kilograms. India, Germany and Iran took second, third and fourth place respectively. Since 2000, Ethiopia's demand for polyurethane has increased by 4.2% annually.
