Mauritian polyurethane imports are projected to reach around 330,000 kilograms by 2026, growing at an annual rate of 3.3%. Since 1998, demand has increased by nearly 5% a year. In 2021, Mauritius was in 99th place, with Mozambique leading with 267,240 kilograms. India, Germany and Iran occupied the 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions respectively. Mauritian polyurethane exports, however, saw a decrease of 4.4% from 1,620 kilograms in 2020 to 1,540 kilograms in 2021. Since 2002, supply has dropped by 8.1% a year. In 2021, Mauritius was in 88th place, with Uganda taking the lead at 1,540 kilograms. China, Italy and the United States ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
