Ecuadorian demand for polyurethane is set to reach nearly 2.7 million kilograms by 2026. In 2021, the country ranked 69th in the world, with 2.6 million kilograms. Qatar came ahead at 2.6 million kilograms, while India, Germany and Iran came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Meanwhile, Ecuadorian export of polyurethane decreased by 15.2%, from 3,180 kilograms in 2020 to 2,700 kilograms in 2021. Since 1999, the country's supply has decreased by 3.4% year on year. In 2021, Madagascar took the lead with 2.7 million kilograms, followed by China, Italy and the United States.
