Lebanese demand for polyurethane is set to dip by 1.6% year on year, with imports reaching 850,850 kilograms by 2026. This has been on a downward trend since 2002, with a 4% decrease year on year. In 2021, Lebanon ranked 85th, with Azerbaijan overtaking it with 921,140 kilograms. India, Germany and Iran respectively came in numbers 2, 3 and 4 in the ranking. Meanwhile, Lebanese polyurethane exports dropped by 47.4% in 2018, compared to 2017. This has been decreasing since 2003, with a 32.4% decrease year on year. In 2018, Lebanon ranked 81st, with Macedonia overtaking it with 4,530 kilograms. China, Italy and the United States respectively took the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots in the ranking.
