Norwegian caviar exports are expected to decline by almost 9% by 2026, to around 59,000 kilograms. This is down from a peak of 99,000 kilograms in 2021, a decrease of 6.6% compared to 1998. Latvia was the leading exporter in 2021, followed by China, Kazakhstan, and Germany. Norwegian caviar imports, meanwhile, are expected to increase by around 3% by 2026, to 1.1 million kilograms. This is up from 889,000 kilograms in 2021, an increase of 2.1% since 1998. Spain was the main importer in 2021, with Japan, South Korea and the United States following close behind.
