Belgian caviar exports are set to dip slightly over the next five years, according to projections. In 2021, the country shipped out around 90,000 kilograms, a 0.9% decrease compared to the previous year. Since 2004, exports have decreased 2.9% on average annually. Ukraine was the largest exporter in 2021, followed by China, Kazakhstan and Germany. Meanwhile, imports of caviar into Belgium are expected to grow slightly in the same time period. In 2021, the country imported around 192,000 kilograms, a 0.2% increase compared to the previous year. Since 2004, imports have increased 4% on average each year. Belarus was the largest importer of caviar into Belgium in 2021, followed by Japan, South Korea and the United States.
