Hungarian caviar imports are set to reach a total of 27,340 kilograms by 2026. This is a 1.7% decrease from 2021's total of 29,840 kilograms. This downward trend has been consistent since 1997, with a 4% annual decrease. Hungary ranked 45th in 2021, with Mexico overtaking them at 29,840 kilograms. Japan, South Korea, and the United States ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively in this ranking. Hungarian caviar exports fell drastically in 2018, with 15.1 kilograms compared to 2017's 20.47 kilograms, a decrease of 26.2%. However, since 2004, the annual supply has been increasing at a rate of 6.5%. Hungary was 59th in 2018, with Serbia overtaking them at 15.1 kilograms. China, Kazakhstan, and Germany came in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively in this ranking.
