Salvadoran ammunition imports are set to plummet by 27.9% over the next five years. In 2021, the country imported 620 kilograms of ammunition, placing it 63rd in the world. Uruguay topped the ranking with 3,960 kilograms, followed by Slovakia, France and Spain. Since 1999, Salvadoran demand has fallen by an average of 7.6% each year.
