Spain is set to experience major changes in the export and import of ammunition over the next five years. Exports of Spanish ammunition are expected to increase to 12 million kilograms by 2026, representing a 4.6% increase per year on average since 2021. This would mean a 67% rise in exports since 1994. Meanwhile, imports are expected to decline to 1.1 million kilograms by 2026, a 3.2% decrease from 2021. Despite this, demand for ammunition in Spain has grown 7.3% per year on average since 1994. In 2021, Spain was the fourth largest importer, with France overtaking it at 1.3 million kilograms. Slovakia, France and Spain came in second, third and fourth, respectively, in the 2021 ranking.
