Since 2004, demand for ammunition in the country has grown by an average of 6.4% annually. In 2021, Sri Lanka ranked 64th in the world for ammunition imports; Kuwait was the top importer with 3,650 kilograms. Slovakia, France and Spain were second, third and fourth, respectively.
