France is set to become one of the world's leading hydrogen exporters in the coming years. According to a new report, the country’s hydrogen exports are projected to reach almost $7 million by 2026, up by 0.9% annually on average since 2021. This follows a cumulative growth of 2.9% since 1999. In 2021, Germany led the way with exports of $6.3 million, followed by the Netherlands, Belgium and the United States. Meanwhile, France’s hydrogen imports are expected to decline by 2.2% to $11.9 million by 2026. Since 1999, demand has dropped by 1.4% annually on average. In 2021, Belgium came out on top with imports of $13.3 million, followed by France, the Netherlands and the United States.
